BIS published amendment no.2 for IS 800:2007 in 2024. We could see in social media that there are numbers of messages that major changes are made in IS 800:2007. In fact, all major changes were already included in 2016 in National Building Code – 2016 (NBC 2016). In NBC 2016, IS 800:2007 was reprinted along with amendment no.1 and further improvements were made in the document. Those improvements are now issued as an amendment no. 2 of IS 800:2007. Accordingly, the major changes were already incorporated in IS 800 code since 2016. Following shows extract of forward section of NBC 2016 for Section 6 Steel (Volume 1).
